Curicó Valley
Los Niches Vineyard
Climate
The predominant climate of our Los Niches vineyard is temperate Mediterranean. During the summer nights the slopes of the mountain range lose the heat accumulated during the day, meaning that the cold dense air descends to the valleys, cooling the grapes growing near the mountains.
Soil
The soils of Los Niches are alluvial in origin, due to the passage of the River Lontué which flows around the vineyard, leaving different concentrations of stones, gravel, sand, lime and clay. The soils are alluvial in origin and terraced,
with loamy sand at both superficial and deep levels.
Area under vine: 233 hectares
Average rainfall: 600 mm per year
